For anyone that’s interested, my daughter had an issue with one of her cats and if she hadn’t had Pet Insurance there is no doubt the mangy thing wouldn’t be around right now, fully recovered and smiling all day (when he’s not sleeping that is)
He developed something that caused him to be a diabetic (I didn’t know cats could be) and after an operation and what can only be called a lengthy holiday in the hospital my daughter got him home.
She had to stick needles in him for a while and he became a hairy ‘child’ for a period but eventually he didn’t need the jabs so he returned to the wild…………… of her settee and bed. Tough for some.
Ignoring the tears and worry and constant fear of losing a silly mut, the bill for the whole episode was about five thousand UK pounds (Not dollars) which is more than it cost me to bring her up from scratch. (my daughter I mean)
Thankfully she had Pet Insurance otherwise no doubt there would have been a knock on my door and another one of those “Please Dad, can you help me out…..I promise to pay you back”…..yeah…..in which century I wonder.
Think I’ll stick to my stamp collection.
ps, I should have told you that these are the guys she used and they paid up pronto.
