I had an email from a member asking about my opinion on affiliate links. He said that if he sees an affiliate link on a page or in the url, he finds out who the vendor is and buys directly from them, so, bypassing the affiliate.

I gave him my opinion and thought to also add in to today's newsletter.

If an affiliate (that may well be you or me) has set thmselves up a landing page or links directly to the vendor's page, I firmly believe that we should use that link and not divert to the vendor. After all, it costs you no more than going direct to the vendor. The only exception is, if the link came to you as spam.

As an example. If you reply to my offer to promote your site or product and it has an affiliate programme (program) and on the assumption that the site/product is quality, I will join that program prior to promoting it. I would be stupid if I didn't. Don't forget to let me know if I can promote you.

Without affiliates the world of internet marketing would be a much smaller place and probably would not be so be so vibrant and artistic. The internet wheels of commerce just wouldn't be there. Click their link and keep them alive. As it costs the same, why not?

Which leads me on to tell you that I have been inundated with requests to promote members to each other. If the product/site belongs to the member I will promote it in the newsletter, if it's an affiliate product I will put a page up for you on one or more of my many sites. On one side I help somebody and on the other I might grab a little commission.

The only way I can cope with the numbers is to put up two or three snippets of information about your product in the newsletter page with a link to the full content elsewhere on the site.

When my wife (the mother of my children) died in 1990 from Deep Vein Thrombosis at the tender age of 43, I began to study on the subject of health. Had I known then what I know now she might still be here. A beautiful woman with a lot to live for. After a period of serious study and research I wrote the following;

"I am convinced that for every illness, ailment and disease that exists today,
God has placed, somewhere on this earth, a natural cure.
It is man's duty to search out this cure for the benefit of his fellow man
and that no border or prejudice might prevent all of mankind
from enjoying the results of that benefit"

Since then, and after a lot more knowledge, I really need to add something relating to the fact that 'Our body and mind and how we use them, also hold the key to good health and longevity'  I promised that I would add submissions by members each time and the article below explains in more detail on those very lines.

The article must be of some considerable value to many people. It's what I call a scientific theory and I believe it actually stacks up to the main theme of my now defunct online health club. It was written by a Guy called Brendan who is a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Process Engineering and it covers much of how the body is constructed and performs.

Cancer, Causes, and Cures

March 23rd, 2010  Brendan Brosnan

Cancer has touched the lives of so many people. Everybody knows somebody who has suffered at the hands of cancer including myself, and some of my relatives have survived and some have not.

Each year 10.9 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer and there are 6.7 million deaths from the disease according to Cancer Research UK stat's.

There are so many theories on cancer but the main causes are:

1. Dangerous chemicals, 2. Heredity, 3. Lifestyle

Let’s take a look..

1. Dangerous Chemicals

It is clear that nobody will intentionally or knowingly take any dangerous infectious chemicals, touch them, or ingest them without knowing. In addition to infectious chemicals there are also infectious viruses which play a role in the onset of cancer around the body. These viruses are much more dangerous in developing countries.

2. Heredity

The genetics of the body plays a role in the potential to get cancer. If your parents had an instance or a particular weakness in their genes, it may be passed on and the likelihood of getting the same cancer is higher.

3. Lifestyle

Finally, but most importantly, is lifestyle causes and lifestyle disease. This is important because it governs the daily state of the body. If you control bodyweight, diet, and physical activity, as well as tobacco intake, and avoid too much sunlight, then you have basically covered over 50% of the risk of cancer immediately.

Living a healthy daily lifestyle including smart exercise, and healthy food intake leads to a stronger immune system which defends the body strongly....Read the Full Article.

Yesterday is History. Tomorrow is a Mystery. Today is a Gift

Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day.

Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course?

Each of us has such a bank. It's name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against "tomorrow."

You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running!! Make the most of today.

To realise the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realise the value of one month, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
To realise the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realise the value of one hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realise the value of one minute, ask a person who just missed a train.
To realise the value of one second, ask someone who just avoided an accident.
To realise the value of one millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal at the olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with. And remember time waits for no one.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why its called the present.
